Monkeys have tails...

On another site I am on, I used the monkey icon for our "seasonal" icons (we have a set of regular icons that are permanent through the year, but each month I swap out 5 that are special). Using the icons, I did poll questions, and asked what everyone's favorite monkey was. Well, there were a variety of answers. Some mentioned apes, some chimps. One of the ladies then reminded everyone that apes were technically primates and not monkeys. Of course, it was all in good ribbing and fun, but it did get me thinking. In the comic, the monkeys are just there. They have no obvious tails! Would that mean they weren't really monkeys! Yeah, this is the type of stuff that keeps me up at night.

So, for today's strip, I drew a few tails. I don't even like how the tails look! And I don't have plans to show them in every strip...if ever again. But, for posterity, it has been firmly established that the monkeys are indeed, monkeys.
